Combine the flavours of smoky bacon and spicy barbecue in a delicate, crispy biscuit – perfect for barbecues, parties or simply as a snack between meals. This recipe combines the savoury notes of paprika, smoked salt and ketchup with the intense flavour of bacon to create a unique shortbread biscuit. Ingredients for the spritz cookies

150 g butter
250 g flour
1 egg
2 Teaspoon(s) paprika powder
1 Pinch(es) cinnamon, ground
1 Pinch(es) pepper
30 g ketchup
2 Teaspoon(s) smoked salt
10 Slice(s) bacon

Preparation

  • Total time: 1 h 30 min

Prepare the spritz cookies

Knead all ingredients except the bacon into a smooth dough and chill for approx. 60 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 180°C fan oven. Take the dough out of the fridge and knead it thoroughly.

Cut the bacon slices in half lengthways. Now put the dough through the rotary mincer and make shortbread biscuits about 10 cm long. Carefully wrap each biscuit in a strip of bacon and place on a baking tray.

Bake the biscuits in the preheated oven for approx. 15 minutes.
