Description
Vegetables are such an issue for some children. But how about giving the vegetables a crispy coating? Admittedly: The crispy coating might make the snack a tad unhealthier overall, but the absolute majority still consists of vegetables. And if the kids shovel in two or three of the thalers at once, the crispy coating won't be so important.
Ingredients for
Ingredients for the broccoli thalers
200
g
potatoes
125
g
broccoli
60
g
white beans
30
g
spelt flour
bread crumbs for coating
Preparation
Prepare the broccoli thalers
1
Peel the potatoes, cut into pieces and cook in plenty of water.
2
Cut the broccoli into smaller pieces and cook until done. Then rinse in cold water and drain well.
3
Blend the broccoli with the beans in a chopper to a mushy consistency. Mash the potato and then knead all the ingredients together to form a dough.
4
Heat a frying pan over a medium heat and add a little oil. Take small portions of dough (about the size of a table tennis ball) from the mixture and roughly shape into a round. Carefully roll the individual portions in breadcrumbs, flatten slightly and then place in the preheated pan.
5
Fry the thalers on both sides until golden brown and then serve warm or store for later.
