Crispy, aromatic and wonderfully savoury – our shortbread biscuits with fresh herbs and a colourful seed mix are the perfect alternative to sweet biscuits. With Parmesan and herbs in the dough, decoratively sprinkled with sunflower seeds and other seeds, these cookies have a spicy, sophisticated flavour. Ideal if you're looking for a small snack that not only tastes good but also looks good. Try it – your kitchen will smell like a herb garden!

Ingredients for the spritz cookies

200 g flour
100 g butter
1 egg
20 g parmesan, grated
40 g fresh herbs, chopped
2 Tablespoon(s) milk
seed mix, grated carrot

Preparation

  • Total time: 1 h 30 min

Prepare the spritz cookies

Knead all the ingredients, excpet the seed mix and the grated carrot, into a smooth dough, wrap in cling film and chill for approx. 60 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan oven) and knead the dough thoroughly once.

Use the dough cutter and the desired cookie cutter shape to make the spritz cookies and carefully place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Sprinkle with seeds, press down lightly and top with the grated carrot.

Bake for approx. 12 minutes until the cookies slowly start to brown.
