Description
Pumpkin Spice Latte is like a latte macchiato 2.0. The syrup makes it a little sweeter, but above all gives it that wonderfully autumnal, almost Christmassy, spicy flavour. Perfect when the days get shorter and the temperatures drop again. An absolute soul warmer and very easy to prepare.

Preparation
Prepare the syrup

Cut the pumpkin into small pieces and bring to the boil with the remaining ingredients.

Allow the syrup to simmer briefly and then leave to infuse for 24 hours.

Remove the orange zest, star anise pod and cardamom pod from the syrup and puree finely.

Then pass the syrup through a fine sieve or cloth and pour into preserving jars, bottles or similar and boil down.
Preparation recommendation
Fill a tall glass with about 20 ml of syrup and then prepare a latte macchiato in this glass.
Alternatively, the syrup can also be used in other speciality drinks.
