Gooseberry Meringue Cake

Preheat the oven to 180° C top/bottom heat.
Separate eggs. Knead butter, 100g sugar, flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar, milk and egg yolk into a dough. Then apply evenly into the mould.
Bake the dough in a preheated oven at 180° C for about 15 minutes.
Whisk the egg white with 150g sugar until stiff, adding the sugar gradually. Drain the gooseberries and cover the pre-baked dough with it. Then spread the whipped egg white mixture over it.
Bake the cake again at 150°C for about 45 minutes. Leave it in the oven for 5 minutes in the closed, switched off baking oven.
