Orange Gingerbread Muffins

Ingredients for 12 Muffins

125 g
butter
70 g
brown sugar
1 package of
vanilla sugar
2
eggs
200 g
flour
1 tsp.
baking powder
1 tsp.
cinnamon
1 tsp.
ginger
1/2 tsp.
cardamom
1/2 tsp.
grounded cloves
2 tsps.
orange zests
50 ml
cream
2 tbsps.
milk
1 tbsp.
honey
12 tsps.
orange marmelade

Schritt für Schritt - Anleitung

Step 1

Whip butter with sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs little by little and mix them into a creamy dough. Mix flour with baking powder and the individual spices and add to the mixture. 

Step 2

Mix the grated orange, milk and honey into the dough. Whip the cream and gradually fold into the dough.  

Step 3

Fill one-third of the muffin pan with dough. Using a teaspoon, gently pour a little orange marmelade into the middle of the pan and fill the pan with dough. Bake in the preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes. 

Step 4

Melt the chocolate in a water bath. Grate off some of the zest from the organic orange. Pour some liquid chocolate on the muffins and decorate with the zest.
