Ingredients for one juice
The local rhubarb is only available about three months a year, and this time should be used. Combined with pomegranate and beetroot, it produces a delicious juice that balances sweetness, acidity and earthy notes.
One of the important nutrients of rhubarb is vitamin K, which supports healthy bone growth and is important for blood clotting. In addition to vitamin C, potassium, phosphorus and iodine, rhubarb contains the important fibre pectin and is therefore often used for purification.
IMPORTANT TO KNOW: Rhubarb contains oxalic acid, the proportion of which increases over time. Therefore rhubarb should not be consumed after the end of June.
The pomegranate with its antioxidants strengthens our immune system, is anti-inflammatory and vitalising.
Beetroot really has it in it. The Power tuber is rich in vitamins and minerals, such as folic acid and iron. The natural pigment betaine, which is responsible for the intense red colour, also protects the heart and blood vessels. Betaine, a form of choline, a so-called vitaminoid (vitamin-like substance), is said to help increase performance. Beetroot also contains nitrate, which can strengthen muscle strength. It dilates the blood vessels so that blood pressure can be lowered.
Cut 15 g rhubarb and 10-15 g beetroot into small pieces and juice them together with about 10 g pomegranate seeds.
