Because the glass cover sucks itself tightly to the rim of the glass with a slight vacuum.

To ensure that nothing spoils your drink, the Lurch My Decals are made of Premium-Platinum-Silicone. The material is food-safe, neutral in smell and taste. Of course, it is free from BPA and other harmful substances.
