Yes! LURCH silicone baking moulds are absolutely safe and heat-resistant up to 240 °C. Made from premium platinum silicone, our silicone bakeware is regularly tested by independent institutes to guarantee food safety and long-lasting performance.

No, that’s not necessary with LURCH. During production, our platinum silicone bakeware is heat-treated (tempered) for several hours at 200 °C to remove all volatile residues.
For first use, simply wash with warm water and a little washing-up liquid - and your mould is ready to bake.

Normally you don’t need to grease LURCH non-stick silicone baking moulds. The open-pore structure of the silicone naturally absorbs a little fat, creating a built-in non-stick effect. If you prefer, you can lightly grease them - it won’t do any harm.

LURCH baking moulds are made of solid material with stabilising elements. Many of our larger moulds, such as bread and cake moulds, stand out with high dimensional stability and practical grip recesses. This makes them easy to fill and convenient to transport without any batter spilling. Our smaller and more creative moulds, such as muffin moulds, are intentionally designed to be more flexible. For best results, place them on a baking tray or rack when filling - this way they keep their shape and are easy to handle.

Thanks to the excellent non-stick effect, your bread will release from the mould effortlessly right after baking. To avoid burns, it’s best to wait about 5 minutes before removing it.
For cakes, allow about 5-10 minutes of cooling time so they remain stable and hold their shape.

Recommended: Wash with hot water, washing-up liquid, and a soft sponge, or simply put them in the dishwasher.
Avoid: Harsh cleaning agents and abrasive sponges, which can damage the surface of your silicone baking moulds. -
Cheap, mass-produced silicone bakeware is often not properly tempered, leaving production residues that can cause an unpleasant odour. In such cases, heating the mould for one hour at 200 °C and washing thoroughly may help.
