Description
"Cooookies" - not only the Cookie Monster never gets enough of American cookies. Crispy on the outside and soft (chewy) on the inside, that's how Americans love their baking classic. And of course, the deliciously melt-in-the-mouth chocolate chips are a must. But be careful when storing them in the large, transparent biscuit jar: danger of addiction! Soon there will only be crumbs left and no one will want to have had them...

For the cookies

250 g flour
0.5 Teaspoon(s) bicarbonate of soda
0.5 Teaspoon(s) salt
170 g butter
200 g brown sugar
50 g vanilla sugar
1 egg
1 egg yolk
200 g chocolate, roughly chopped

Preparing cookies

Preheat the oven to 175°C convection oven.

Melt butter, roughly chop chocolate and mix all dry ingredients.

Add the egg, egg yolk and melted (but no longer hot) butter to the dry ingredients and knead roughly.

Add the chopped chocolate and knead until smooth.

Shape the dough into balls weighing about 30 - 35g each.

Place the balls a sufficient distance apart on a baking tray on the Flexiform baking base and bake in the preheated oven for 8 minutes.

After baking, the cookies need to cool a little before they can be moved and stored a few minutes later.

Tip

The raw dough balls can be frozen very well. When preparing, also place the frozen balls on the baking tray with enough space between them and bake in the preheated oven for 12 (instead of 8) minutes. Afterwards, let them cool down a little and then transfer/stow them.
