The best thing about Christmas is the anticipation of the festivities. And you should sweeten it as much as possible. We have a great basic recipe for biscuit dough for you that is sure to succeed!

For the dough

190 g wheat flour
1 Pack(s) vanilla sugar
125 g icing sugar
125 g butter
1 Pinch(es) salt
1 egg
icing sugar and lemon juice for icing (optional)

Preparation

Prepare the bisquits

Mix flour, icing sugar, vanilla sugar and salt. Add the egg and butter and work into a smooth dough.

Wrap the dough in cling film and chill.

Preheat the oven to 150°C fan oven. Remove small pieces of the dough and press into each tin and smooth out.

Bake the pastry for 10 minutes until golden brown.

Optional: Mix the icing sugar and lemon juice together and colour if desired. Decorate the biscuits as desired with the icing.
