Cauliflower gratin

Description
Whether as a side dish with fish or meat or just on its own, a cauliflower gratin is delicious! In just a few steps, the bare cabbage is given a spicy sauce. Finally, the whole thing is baked and can be enjoyed.

For the gratin

1 cauliflower
30 g butter
40 g flour
0.5 onion, finely diced
0.5 garlic clove
200 ml cream
300 ml milk
200 g cheese, grated
1 Teaspoon(s) salt
1 Pinch(es) netmeg, ground
1 Teaspoon(s) paprika powder
1 Teaspoon(s) curry powder
pepper, chili (to taste)

Prepare the gratin

Remove the stalk from the cauliflower florets, cut to a similar size if necessary and place in the round dish. Preheat the oven to 170°C convection oven.

Sweat the diced onion and chopped garlic in butter. Add flour, stir and after a few seconds add cream and milk. Bring to the boil while stirring. Then remove from the heat, stir in about a quarter of the cheese and season with salt, nutmeg,curry powder, paprika powder and pepper and chilli if necessary.

Pour the cheese sauce over the cauliflower florets and mix together. Then sprinkle with the remaining cheese and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
