Chocolate pear spices cake

Description
Pear and chocolate, this mixture simply fits and literally makes you melt. It becomes a delicious winter cake when spices such as cinnamon, aniseed and allspice are added. Defy the cold days and make yourself at home with a piece of this cake happiness!

For the cake

200 g chocolate coating, plain
200 g butter, soft
2 pears
4 eggs
120 g sugar
1 Packet(s) vanilla sugar
350 g flour
2 Teaspoon(s) baking powder
1 Teaspoon(s) cinnamon, anise, allspice (each)
0.5 Teaspoon(s) clove
150 ml milk

Preparing the cake

Melt the couverture with half the butter. Separate the eggs, whisk the egg whites.

Preheat the oven to 180°C convection oven.

Beat the remaining butter, sugar and vanilla sugar. Beat in the egg yolks one by one.

Mix the flour with the baking powder and spices and add to the butter mixture alternately with the milk.

Add the melted chocolate coating to the batter and stir until smooth.

Cut a pear into small cubes and fold into the batter alternately with the beaten egg whites.

Pour the batter into the tin, cut the second pear into wedges and drape over the cake.

Bake for 70 minutes, cover with aluminium foil after 50-60 minutes if necessary to prevent too much browning.
