Description
With this sauce, you should plan exactly what you are going to use it for beforehand. There is too much danger of eating it by the spoonful. We suggest that you do not do this. Then you would miss it as a nice topping for ice cream, cakes, brownies, waffles or puddings. And you shouldn't miss out on these opportunities...

1 Tablespoon(s) brown sugar
1 Splash(es) rum (optional)
150 ml cream
couverture, dark or whole milk
1 Tablespoon(s) cocoa powder

Prepare the sauce

Boil brown sugar with water until the syrup bubbles.

Deglaze the hot syrup either with a shot of rum or directly with a shot of cream. Then top up with the (remaining) cream.

Remove the saucepan from the heat, roughly chop the chocolates and add them to the hot cream together with the cocoa. Wait for 2 - 3 minutes.

Stir everything together to form a smooth sauce.

Tip: The sauce is best enjoyed warm. If it is to be stored, increase the amount of cream or milk slightly.
