200 g wheat flour
50 g sugar
2 Teaspoon(s) baking powder
1 egg
1 Pack(s) vanilla sugar
3 Tablespoon(s) milk
1 Pinch(es) salt
75 g butter, cold

For the filling

4 apples, big
30 g sugar
2 Tablespoon(s) water

Prepare the filling

Peel, core and dice the apples.

Caramelise the sugar with water, add half of the apple cubes and cook over medium heat for 30 minutes until apples start to fall apart. Add the remaining apple to the puree and reduce the heat.

Prepare the apple pie

Knead a shortcrust pastry from flour, sugar, baking powder, egg, vanilla sugar, milk, salt and butter and refrigerate.

Preheat the oven to 200°C top/bottom heat.

Roll out 2/3 of the pastry thinly, line the tin with it and fill with the apple mixture. Roll out the rest of the pastry and use it to close the cake. Prick several times with a fork and press the edge lightly.

Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown.
