50 g white beans, cooked
0.5 lemon, zest only
1 Sprig(s) mint, fresh
1 Sprig(s) coriander, fresh
2 Sprig(s) parsley, fresh
1 garlic clove
0.5 onion, small
1 Tablespoon(s) sesame seeds
1 Teaspoon(s) salt
0.5 Teaspoon(s) cumin, ground
0.5 Teaspoon(s) curry powder
0.5 Teaspoon(s) paprika powder
chili to taste

Preparation

  • Total time: 1 h

Prepare the falafel dough

1
If using dried chickpeas, soak them in water overnight and cook the next day. (Already) Drain the cooked chickpeas, as well as the beans, rinse and drain well.
2
Put all the ingredients in the Multi Chopper and blend to a paste. If necessary, blend several times and press the mixture down a little in the blender jug in between.
3
Cover the finished falafel batter and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Slowly heat the oil for frying.
4
When the oil is 180°C hot, form 25g of dough into small talers at a time and deep-fry them one by one. Do not put too many falafel in the oil at once so that it does not foam over. Also, make sure that the oil does not get too cold and the falafel no longer fry properly. Caution: Frying in a pot requires some experience and should always be done with a thermometer. Alternatively, use a deep fryer.
5
Fry the falafel for 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Then drain well on a kitchen towel and serve or process directly.
