A few fresh figs that are wonderfully sweet and aromatic. Add to that a crunchy almond topping with a sweetness of brown sugar and honey, and these fluffy country cakes are an absolute delight!

1 egg
100 g wheat flour
0.5 Teaspoon(s) baking powder
4 figs
2 Tablespoon(s) almond slivers
1 Tablespoon(s) honey
1 Tablespoon(s) brown sugar

Bake the cake

Preheat the oven to 160°C convection oven. Beat the butter, sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy.

Slowly add the egg and continue to beat.

Sieve the flour and fold into the mixture together with the baking powder. Then spread your batter evenly in the tin.

Cut the figs into eighths, spread them evenly on the dough and sprinkle everything with the almond slivers. Sprinkle the brown sugar and honey evenly over the top.

Bake the cake for 30 minutes. Then check the cake with a chopstick. If necessary, bake for a few more minutes until the cake is cooked through.
