Description
Not all apple pies are the same. We would like to introduce you to a very interesting variation, in rolled form. Unlike usual, you don't cut the apple into pieces, but into strips. These form the perfect basis for rolling it up afterwards. The result is a small cake that looks really chic. Served with cinnamon, sugar and vanilla sauce, they can more than keep up with their "big brother".

Zutaten für

For the pie

1 apple
250 g yeast dough, prepared
2 Tablespoon(s) brown sugar
2 Teaspoon(s) cinnamon, ground

Preparation

  • Preparation time: 20 min
  • Cooking time: 40 min
  • Total time: 1 h

Prepare the pie

1
Roll out the yeast dough thinly and cut into narrow strips (2-3 cm) if necessary.
2
Cut the apple into a fruit strip with the Catto.
3
Preheat the oven to 170°C convection oven. Lay out the apple track and place a narrow strip of yeast dough on top of the apple track. Then sprinkle with a little brown sugar and cinnamon and carefully roll up. Important: Start with the wider side of the apple strip, as this will form the centre of the cake afterwards.
4
Repeat this step until the entire apple is rolled up with the pastry.
5
Carefully place the raw apple cake on a tray or in a silicone mould and then bake in the oven for 40 minutes. At the end of the baking time, cover the cake with aluminium foil if necessary so that the apple does not burn.
