Snowman cake

Description
When it gets cold outside, you have to sweeten your life inside. How about bringing a snowman right into your home? A snowman that will make your guests melt at the sight of it. And that's because the cake looks so cute with its spherical shape and typical carrot nose! And tastes even sweeter! Let it snow!

For the dough

250 g butter, soft
150 g sugar
50 ml maple syrup
4 eggs
250 g wheat flour
200 g almonds, ground
500 g carrots
1 Tablespoon(s) apple cider vinegar
3 Teaspoon(s) baking powder
1 Teaspoon(s) bicarbonate of soda
vanilla, cinnamon, salt
2 Packet(s) rolled fondant
decoration to taste

Bake the cake

Peel the carrots and grate finely. Preheat the oven to 180°C top/bottom heat. Whip the butter, sugar and maple syrup until creamy.

Beat eggs, one at a time, into the butter mixture.

Mix together the bicarbonate of soda, baking powder and flour and fold into the butter and egg mixture together with the vinegar.

Fold the ground almonds and grated carrot into the batter with the spices.

Fill each of the three moulds with the batter to just below the rim and form a slight hollow in the centre with the spoon.

Bake the cakes at 180°C top/bottom heat: the small tin for 30 minutes, the medium tin for 40 minutes and the large tin for 45 minutes.

Allow the cake pieces to cool completely after baking. Then place them on a tray/board/... and cover with white fondant.

Finally, decorate the cake as desired.
