Sunflower seed bread

Description
This bread with a beautiful crust of sunflower seeds is a real treat. When it's fresh out of the oven and you cut it open, it has a lovely texture. Now you can add any toppings you like. If you want something hearty, you can add ham or salami. Hummus, tender chicken breast with salad or cream cheese with salmon are also delicious. Whether for breakfast, a snack or as a side dish - you're sure to enjoy it!

For the dough

150 g wheat flour
200 g wholemeal wheat flour
100 g sunflower seeds
280 ml water
1 Pack(s) dry yeast
2 Tablespoon(s) sunflower seed oil
1 Tablespoon(s) sugar
1 Teaspoon(s) salt

Prepare the bread

Dissolve the yeast with the sugar in lukewarm water.

Put both types of flour in a bowl and add salt, oil and yeast water. Knead everything into a smooth dough and let it rise covered for 30 minutes.

Add about 2/3 of the sunflower seeds and knead again. Shape the dough into a loaf and leave to rise again in the loaf tin for about 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 200°C top/bottom heat.

Spread the remaining sunflower seeds on the bread and then bake for 60 minutes.
