Carrot cucumber salad with tuna

Description
A salad is just the thing for hot days. In this recipe you will find an Asian tuna salad. The hoi sin sauce and sweet chilli sauce provide the typical sweet and spicy taste. The fried tuna slices with the vegetable spaghetti are a real treat.

For the salad

1 tuna steak
1 carrot
0.5 cucumber
1 Tablespoon(s) sweet chili sauce
1 Tablespoon(s) soy sauce
1 Tablespoon(s) sesame seeds, roasted
1 Pinch(es) salt
1 Teaspoon(s) hoi sin sauce
pepper to taste

Prepare the salad

Cut the carrot and cucumber into spaghetti using a spiral slicer. Then marinate with sesame seeds, soy sauce and sweet chilli sauce and salt a little if necessary.

Mix hoi sin sauce and a few drops of water to make a varnish and brush both sides of the tuna steak with it. Then sear it in a hot pan for a few seconds until each side is well browned.

Slice the tuna and carefully brush with the remaining varnish. Season lightly with salt and pepper and arrange on the carrot and cucumber salad.
