Description
When you talk about a party braid, it might seem slightly ambiguous. But when eggs, milk, flour and butter are mentioned, it's clear that it's not about styling, but about bread in great shape! At least for this version, we have a delicious recipe for you. Whether with grains, seeds or aromatic herbs - we are sure that your guests will love it!

For the dough

3 eggs
15 g sugar
65 ml milk
5 g dry yeast
175 g wheat flour
120 g wholemeal wheat flour
50 g butter
3 Tablespoon(s) cooking oil
1 Teaspoon(s) salt
9 Tablespoon(s) grains/seeds/herbs to taste

Bake the party plait

Mix the eggs, milk, sugar and dry yeast and leave to stand for 10 minutes.

Piece by piece, while kneading, add the flour. Then add butter, oil and salt and knead for 15 minutes.

Leave the dough to rise in a warm place for 60 minutes. Then knead briefly.

Divide the dough into 9 pieces (60-70g each). Shape each piece into a ball and roll in grains/seeds/herbs of your choice.

Place each ball in a well of the braid baking tin and leave to rise for a further 60 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 175°C fan oven.

Bake the party plait for 30 minutes, then leave to cool briefly and turn out.
