Description
A yeast plait always tastes good and of course best at Easter. The dough is easy and can be made with just a few ingredients. In this recipe, we line the baking tin with almonds. By the way, the shape used here has the advantage that you don't have to do the time-consuming braiding. Your yeast plait is guaranteed to succeed!

90 ml milk
15 g yeast, fresh
175 g wheat flour
25 g sugar
1 Pinch(es) salt
30 g butter
1 egg
3 Tablespoon(s) almond flakes

Bake the yeast plait

Put the flour in a bowl and form a hollow. Crumble the yeast, together with the sugar, into the hollow and pour lukewarm milk over it. Leave to rise for 10 minutes.

Knead together with the egg, butter and a pinch of salt to form a smooth dough. Cover and leave to rise for 45 minutes.

Roughly sprinkle/line the baking tin with almonds. Knead the dough once and then spread it evenly in the tin. Leave to rise again for 45 minutes. Preheat the oven to 175°C fan oven.

Bake the yeast plait in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Then leave to cool briefly in the tin and turn out.
