Stodgy biscuits were yesterday! Now come the strawberry chocolate cookies, which are simply to melt away! The sweet fruits go great with chocolate. We have already found a great combination. But we think that even more is possible and add an unusual ingredient. The exotic extra comes in the form of grated tonka bean, which is slightly reminiscent of the taste of vanilla, caramel and almond. We call the recipe "strawberry chocolate cookies". But really only because "unbelievably-yummy-tasty-gourmet-cookies" would be way too long!

For the dough

175 g butter, soft
200 g sugar
2 Pack(s) tonka bean sugar
0.5 tonka bean, grated
1 Teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
220 g wheat flour, type 550
1 Teaspoon(s) baking powder
40 g chocolate drops
120 g strawberries, cut into small cubes

Prepare the cookies

Whip the butter, sugar, tonka bean sugar, grated tonka bean and vanilla paste until creamy. Preheat the oven to 175°C convection oven.

Mix and sieve the flour and baking powder. First whisk egg into the butter and sugar mixture, then carefully fold in the flour and baking powder mixture.

Distribute the finely chopped strawberries and chocolate drops evenly in the mixture.

Place the baking mat on an oven tray and use a tablespoon to place small heaps of batter on each mat. Make sure there is enough space between them, as the batter will melt a little during baking.

Bake for 12 minutes, turn off the oven and leave to rise for another 2-3 minutes.
